The Sam Schmidt Paralysis Foundation and Shoot For a Cure Moto Sport are excited to announce that the next in our wildly popular RUN, WALK and WHEELATHON series of events is coming to Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, California on Thursday, August 20, 2009. All money raised will be earmarked towards finding a cure for paralysis. The event takes place on a specially designed course at the Infineon Speedway … a once in a lifetime opportunity for race fans to actually run / walk / wheel the track! All of the money raised will fund paralysis research helping the almost 6 million people in the United States who have some form of paralysis.
After the overwhelming response to our last Run, WALK, and WHEELATHON, held on July 9 in Toronto, Canada, we are looking forward to another great and successful event in Sonoma.
We are grateful for the support of Infineon Raceway for donating the use of the site and other logistical considerations. We expect to welcome many participants, including Indycar drivers and personalities, and a responsive crowd to cheer us all on.
The awards ceremony and after party will be held immediately following the race. There will be opportunities for celebrity autographs and photos, and lots of other surprises.

The Sam Schmidt Paralysis Foundation will hold its 3rd annual Racing To Recovery Golf Tournament on Monday, November 3, 2008 at the exquisite Reflection Bay Golf Course on beautiful Lake Las Vegas.

Reflection Bay was personally designed by Jack Nicklaus. The 7,261 yard, par-72 award-winning course makes its way through the desert, while providing breathtaking views of Lake Las Vegas. Sculpted from the terrain’s natural contours with strategic bunkering and pristine greens, the course features three waterfalls and plays around arroyos and water.

Five holes are located along one and a half miles of Lake Las Vegas’ majestic shoreline. Reflection Bay highlights include the picturesque 199 yard 3-par eighth hole and beaches, bunkers, and palms that create a dynamic shoreline and backdrop.
