DAY AT THE RACES LONG BEACH - COMING SOON!

  Furthering its mission statement, the Sam Schmidt Paralysis Foundation organizes several “Day at the Races” program events annually.  Day at the Races has grown to be one of our most popular programs.  

We contact local hospitals that specialize in spinal cord injury treatment, rehabilitation centers, VA Hospitals and organizations for the disabled, inviting patients and family members to attend a “behind-the-scenes” guided tour of the garage area, enjoy a catered lunch and group discussion led by SSPF founder Sam Schmidt, President/CEO Ida Cahill or Day at the Races Coordinator Cindy Norton.    

Attendees will also have an opportunity to meet some of the drivers and view on-track activities.  As a reminder of the day, participants also receive racing memorabilia, products from participating sponsors and contact information for future reference.  For more details on our Day at the Races program, click here.

Individual registrations are also welcome.  Since space at our Day at the Races events is limited, we hope that new people will experience the day each year, so we may serve as many as possible.
